Confidence (Connie) Shielu, Executive Director & Head of Oil and Gas

Confidence Shielu is an Executive Director & Head of Oil and Gas at NPL Advisors. She has twelve years experience in Business Development for Infrastructure and Upstream Oil and Gas projects. This includes divestiture and investment in upstream Oil and Gas, government relations, environmental and social governance management, public private partnership project initiation and bidding for concessions, corporate strategy development and social enterprise development. Confidence (Connie) also has seven years experience in vehicle leasing to Corporate and government organisations.

Connie has been a Lead Consultant on several infrastructure projects. These include the Onitsha Port, Amoni Palm Oil Mills and Ibaka Deep Sea Port.

Connie is currently involved in pushing for the Nigerian Oil Industry adoption and implementation of ISO (Environmental Management System) and zero flaring technology with DPR (Directorate of Petroleum Resources). She has participated in the NCF (National Conservation Foundation) tree planting revegetation exercise in Lagos. Connie is a Director at Philip Harris International, Senior Partner at Toff Resources Consultants and a Director at Oasis Finance Limited. Connie is involved with two charities, Medi Initiatives and the Macedonia Mission. She has also been appointed as a Director of AQR Minerals and Saints Global Traders effective January 2019.

Connie has a BA Law Degree from Middlesex University in London, a Diploma in Law from the University of London and is currently studying for an MA Degree in Environmental Law and Justice at Middlesex University. Connie is ICM (Institute of Credit Management) and AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualified.
